Starch for Size

To make a sure thing in
preparing starch let the
water stand at 135 Deg
in the Barrell then put in
one Pailfull of starch
then one Pailfull of water
till 4 of each are added

Good size will have a
good scum on the top
after standing over night
which must be taken off
before useing.

Yeast

Take one pailfull of
Water add 1/2 pailfull
of Flour

For 50 Looms

Two Pailfulls of prepard starch
2/3 [illegible] Water at 116 Deg { then boil it to 190 degrees
