the White Mt. species. Very likely it
is a peculiar species & you will have to
describe it as such.

the Fl. Brasil is in the public
store. I hope to get it out tomorrow
with a free permit.

Holten came in just now. He is
to be here three or four weeks, while
his N. Grenada book is going through
the press. He has received the names
of a large number of his plants. Hooker
has not yet acknowledged the receipt
of my letter & of the Whipple Collection
of plants.

I am very much troubled about
the Mex. Boundary plants & cannot
finish them without help: for
Emory is pressing hard for the Report

The collection is very large & I
work slowly. The Compositae you must
do up as soon as you can. Pray
what orders will you work up besides.
I would gladly turn over to you
the whole job.
