1. Perpertuitye,
2. Sustentation without sustenance: for though nothing shall
bee added to them for their comfort, yet, that shall be conferred
on them which is requisite to perpetuate their woes.
3. God will wish his own hand & power keep together ye prin-
ciples of their natures, that they shall not suffer dissolution:
God shall (as it were) put one hand under the sinner to up-
hold him in being, whiles with the other hand he shall
strike him, & sink him down into his miserye: it [illegible]
impossible for the creature to endure & hold out, of him-
selfe, by his own strength, but God shall make him to endure,
hee shall enlarge his vessell, & capacitate him to hold soe
much of wrath, as hee intends to pour into him;
3. Touching the reasons of the Doctrine: if a Reason of Gods
intention be enquired after, no other can be rendred but
this: viz. his owne good pleasure that these shalt bee
everlasting monuments of the glory of his justice:
