Poetical jumble, vivifyed from the

Down there may in ev'ry clan
Perhaps be found one honest man,
But link them close, in this they jump
To be but idlers in the lump.

To the Goddess of Silence
Dear Sovereign and rightful Majesty of the Kingdom of Silence, being prepossessed of your generous intentions, I am emboldened to present the following to your perusal, relying on your inability ever to expose this to a [listning?] and a censorious world ~
I am sensible this can add nothing to your happiness, tho' you may add greatly to mine by granting this a kind reception, from him who wishes this, by your favour, may sleep in silence, forver confined to your gloomy Mansion so con spicuous in your vast Empire of Oblivion
Now in full assurance of your fidelity and good intentions and as mark of my esteim of and obligations to your amiableness ~ I subscribe myself Madam your most humble and most obedient Servant ~
