4. Use. What cause of admiration is there at
Christs familiarity & friendliness with Believ-
ers. He treats them as his beloved friends. This
is hard for poor guilty sinners yt are under
the sense of their iniquity to believe yt Christ
should admit them to such familiar comunio
with himselfe, yt he should carry it so conde-
scendingly & manifest so much friendly kindness
to them. Heb. 2.11.

5. Use. Let Believers be exhorted to improve this
kindness of Christ to them, when he is so freely &
graciously inviting of them to take in abundant-
ly of his provision. This is ye voice & cry of Wis-
dom to the children of men under ye Gospell that
yy would come & share in yt large preparatio[n]
which is made. Prov. 9.1–5. The ordinances of
the Gospel are special seasons & opportunityes
wherein Christ calls his children to feast with him.
Let them sô improve them.

1. Go when Christ invites you. Come & come with
intention to feast with him. Don't absent your selves
when Christ calls wither thrô carelesnes, or sinful
despondency & dejection of spirit. Come into his
presence looking for abundant satisfaction with
him. Only be sure (1) That you have on ye wed-
ding garment, that you do sincerely look to ye
righteousness of Christ for justification & life, that
so you be one yt hath right to come. Mat. 22.11, 12, 13.

(2) That you be purged from your filthines by ye
sprinkling of his blood in ye exercise of faith &
repentance, that you come not with any sin un-
pardoned or unrepented of. Ps. 26.6. 2. [?]. 30.19

(3) That you bring a good appetite. Come longing after X
& his grace. Ps. 84.2. & 63.1, 2.

2. Carry your selves chearfully in Christs presence.
Ps. 45.15. Christ loves not to have his friends whom
he loves to be dumpish or unpleasant before him
as if he were not worthy in whose company &
