1. Use. Hence learn what a bountiful & gracious
Lord the Saints have. He thinks nothing too
much for them: He hath thought nothing too much
to do for them: He thinks nothing too much to
bestow upon them. Why then should believers
want for any thing? Why should they walk
disconsolately or discouragedly? They may
have what they will, yea yy are required
to take in largely of their Lords bounty.
Joh.15.7. Psal. 81.10. text. The Lord keeps a good
house for his children. He don't bring them to bare walls.

2. Use. Learn what a strange thing it is yt when
there is such provision made for believers in yr
fathers house; unto which yy are so graciously
invited, yt yet yy should crave it to feed upon
husks. How often so the saints like ye Israelites
of old, despise or disrellish Angels food, spiritu-
al Manna, ye corn of heaven (Psal. 78.24, 25) the
bread & water of life, & linger after the leeks,
the onions, & ye garlick of Egypt? (Numb. 11.5, 6.)
Earthly pleasures, earthly delights & contentment
do oftentimes more please & satisfy professors,
& yy [wave?] Christs invitations, or don't feed plen-
tifully upon his royal daintyes, because their
souls are cloyed with their earthly fare, their
sensual contentmets in which yy take so much de-
light. And what a strange, unworthy & unbecom-
ing thing is this! Truly, there is reason we
should be humbled & ashamed under the linger-
ings of our souls after earthly & foolish vani-
tyes, & that we are so hard to be taken, yea
beaten off from them, yt God hath so much to do
to make us nauseate fulsome lusts & to rellish
gospel-daintyes.

Consider (1) It is a debasing
of our souls yt were made for & might have
spiritual delights to live upon. Were we made
for comunion with ye blessed God, & shall we
throw away our selves in surfetting upon
creatures, vanityes & lusts?
