Tuesday 14 This morning at 4 tack agn Stood on NWBW at 10 lay by So made but little way all the Day at 4 PM the Humber of Devonshire left us and went for England

Wensday 15 The wind having [?] [?] more to the Southward we Stood all night with a Pleasant Gale WNW, So that we made the Land of [several words marked out] Gaspe towards night we made the Land which and by 12 were up with [Frazier?]

Thursday 16 This morning we were between [Frazier?] and [Anticosti?] and here lay all Day it being flat Calme

Friday 17 Calme all night and the Day until about 9 PM when the wind sprung up at NNW, So we are [?] to [?] to windward, This Day I was aboard Mr. Williams

Saturday 18, the wind very fresh at NW. all [?] 20 night and all this Day. So we turn'd to windward till 10 AM and gaining nothing we bore away for Gaspe and Sat night came to an anchor there where we found a very fine Harbour at the Botome of the Bay a a large Ship loading with fish had near to 2000 [?] aboard and the next making here is a Stage and [?] small [?] for the people to [live?] in, and they say here that there [are?] 10000 french waiting for us at Quebec. The Ships here [have?] all ready been taken in her voyage and Ransom'd by the master pretends to Dispute the Admiral Right to her but I think he [don't?] [?] to mind him

Sabath Day 19 the wind at NW So we lay here all this here the Admiral made a Signall for the Master of the transports to come on board [here?] and order'd them to give us an [act?] of their Provisory this Day I [preach'd?] on board Capt. [?] in this afternoon.

Munday 20 The wind coming at [?] and we came to Sail about 10 AM and made it 12 at night before the whole fleet was out this Day our boat came ashore for water
