I duly rec'd fav[or] of 3rd: Ult[im]o inclosing William Welch
mans Bill on Hugh Tarbet for L20.18. G Sterling & the Bill for L50 Sterling
Indors'd to you by William Kinloch with protest also Bill Lacking &
Invoice of 125 lbs Tar, 75 lbs Pitch, 50 lbs Turpentine & 20 lbs Pork
for your Account & Sloop Polly, Stephen Andrews master, which came to
hand 1st Ins[t] in good Order. the Naval Stores are all sold, Tar at 10/,
Pitch 13/4, Turpentine 18/8, being the top of the Market. have disposd
of only 4 lbs of the Pork at 9 dollars [per] bbl, wish I may obtain the same
for the remainder, have the promise of the Cash in a day or two for what is
sold, when rec'd will be remitted [^as] you direct to Mr. Elias Debrosses, Mr.
Tarbet promises payment of the Bills in a short time, when made will
be remitted. Mr. Debrosses also I thank you for this Consignment & shall
do all I can to make the mos tof it, as shall also for any other you may

L250.4.1 Rhode Island Lawful money with the Interest due therein to 10th Ins[ta]
(that is) the Interest calculated up to that time, the amount where of you'l please
to note in your next, by duly honor'd the name you'll oblige

10 Tons of Piggs xxxx to Cobbs order & had that day drawn on me for
the amount of L95 New York Curre[ncy ]at 10 days sight in fav[or] of Mr.
Oliver Wendell which will be duly honourd, when I have occasion
for more of your Piggs, I shall apply for them to pay in Six
months
