Agreeable to your request I got the [Head] made for your
Ship as soon as it was prossibleto get it done, but for want of a conveyance, occasion'd
as I suppose by the [badness] of the roads it remains here yet, shall embrace the very
first of opportunity that offers by hand of sending it to Mr. George Williams but should
none offer will it do to send it to you by Water, of this please to [?] me with your
directions which shall be duly comply'd with by

By Capt. White I send the boat for Capt. Conklings [Sloop crave]
your care of her & that you'll be pleased to procure her a load of Wood and Freight for this
place which not agree with the tp as any one will, I choose she should come with a
Load of Wood that I may know how many [Cord] she will carry as it measures here
hope you have got the sails [?] as I requested you by a line sometime since
I expect Conkling every minute, meantime I am

Mr. Mathhew Cozzens desir'd me to forward a ships

which would have been done sometime ago had any conveyance offer'd this
is therefore to request that you'll be pleas'd to engage a barter to call on me
for it, by whom it will besent if no opportunity offers beforeyour com

Mr. Marlett has presented me with a few lines from you to him [?] my
acceptance of his Order at somedistanct period for the Balance of yourSupplys(sp) to him
over & avove the Sum he has a crediton you for, which I think is a method that does
not agree with the tenor of the letter I have from Mr. Reade, he proposesin behalf
of Mr. Watts to be answerable for anycontract Mr. Marlett may make with any
Gentleman to transact business for him to the amount of L2200[Barbadoes ?]
& I will be answerable for that Sum according to the tenor of that Letter in the
meantime I will write to Mr. Reade & Mr. Watts & if yourproposal is agreeable
to them & they will indemnifie (sp) me I will comply with it, so that by these letters you
are fully secur'd for the I am limited whenever you arepleas'd to advance it. I am

I duly received your fav of 10th [?] with the letter it
inclos'd to mr. Alesc (sp) Rofs which I left at the Office with a particular charge
to the Kepper of it to be careful in forwarding it & at same timemade inquirey
after the letter thatis missing, he was positive it was sentforward in
the Mail and can't accountfor its not getting safe to hand, however I got him
to look over the leeters in the Office, but could not be found amongst
them. I am Your most humble Servant
