I have sold 50 boxes of the last candles you sent
me. 6 of them at 13/ on 2 months credit & 52 either on the same terms or at 12/6
& my commission to be at the election of the purchaser, believe more would sell on
these terms, mean time I am your most hum.l servant

I rec.d your fav.r of 10th. Inst. neither Vans or Wendell have
paid anything nor can I tell when they will, Vans's depends on the Sale of some
Lands which the assignees have been endeavouring for some time to dispose of
Wendell I think behaves amiss in not complying with his promise, I write

Townsens order on your for the neat proceeds of 28 bbs Pork left in your hands
by Capt. Bennitt which I send forward P Mr. Giles Alexander for acceptance,
Capt. Butler informs me he had desird you to pay for his Accott. the neat pro-
ceeds of 10 bbs Pork & 14 bbs Bread & a small Ballance of some Flour, please
to advice P return of this post whether you are in Cash for the above & when
I may expect it, having orders to Vest the same in Whale Oil, which is to be
had now at the price he Limits me, but is like to rise soon, your Complyan[t]
