ashes is to be obtain'd /& but little else is made/ the quality can scarely
be otherwise then good. We have so many purchasers it will be impossi-
ble to engross the whole or near it. However if you think proper
to make a tryal & think fill to commit the transaction to me & will
give me leave to draw on you for the amount as I purchase it, you
may be assurd of my faithfullest endeavours to serve your interest
& as punctual a compliance with your instructions as is possible

I rec'd your fav'r of 22rd utt'o per my nephew Mr. Henry
Smith respecting your demand on Mr. Jonathan Warner for £80 New York
curr:y, in consequence of which I wrote Mr. Warner that you expected the
money would be lodg'd either in my hands or with a gentleman at New
York, in answer he says, on your farwarding his note to me he will
pay me the money for your acco'tt with what interest may be due
thereon, as soon as possible after the arrival of one of his ressells
from Jamaica with a load of molasses now hourly expected, if you
send the note to me the money shall be remitted as you shall please
to order immediately on rec't of it, mean time I am

at last got the policy on cap't price continued adding one perc't to the premium
& liberty to touch at South Carolina

I have done what I could to find a maket for your mossogony @ 4/6
per foot but can't find any person that will give it, I believe 4/ will be
the extent it will fetch & uncertain whether so much if you choose to
sell it here for the most it will fetch on receive advice from you
