I now inclose you a large Invo[ice] of Books which I desire you
will please to send me, pack'd in the best manner & mark'd
IH. I must Recommend to you to be very Carefull in the
Collect[in]g these Books, that they be the best Editions, & well
Bound, & that you be particular in send[in]g every Book
mentioned in the Inclos'd Invo[ice] if to be had at any price-
I must also further Recommend to you that each & every
Book be neatly Letter'd, & as there are several Pamphlets
wrote for in this Invo[ice] I desire instead of their Coming in
pamphlets (w[hi]ch are apt to be soon Defac'd by use) that you
will be mindfull to Bind as many together as will make
a neat Volume, & let them be all sent in that way, Lettering
on the Back, that they may be known, upon the whole I
Recommend to you that the whole of these Books be very
neat, well Chosen, & Charg'd at the lowest prices, as the whole
of these Books are a present from me to our College Library
in Cambridge, These Books I shall hope you will be able to
send me in the Spring, whenever they are ready to Ship.
I desire you will apply to Messrs Barnards & Harrison who
will give you Directions to Ship them in a Vessell of mine, &
should be glad when you have any Goods to Ship this way.
you would give my Vessells ye preference w[hi]ch you may know
by Enquiring of Messrs Barnards & Harrison.

These Books you will pack in Trunks, Consign them to
me Send me Invo[ice] of Cost, & write me the Terms of Credit,
& you may Rely I shall make you a punct^ual Remittance.
therefor if it does not suit you to put up these Books, you will
please to give this Letter & Invo[ice] to Barnard & Harrison who
will send them to me.

I shall be glad of all opportunities to render
you or your Freinds any Services here, & am with
Compliments to you & Mrs Longman.
