Dearest Folks & Sis. The
area & base are finally getting
dug out from the 3" or more
of ash from the volcano 80
miles west of Anchorage. The
dust & ash have been horrible
& will be until a good rain
settles it. It is so fine it seeps
into everything -- even locked
suitcases. Our furniture
won't be here for a month
or longer (glad it wasn't here
[[struck text]:jor]] for the excitement?? &
[rest?]), so we're camping
out in the apt. [apartment] on borrowed
necessities. Your last letter
to the hostess house was
forwarded. Love to all. Gae Coop
