3) This is Saturday afternoon, 2:40.
Mr. West and Mr. Harry H. came for
me, (& kids), to go and vote. They
had lots of excitement this fore-
noon and morning up town.
Kid, [Paine?], was just on an
auto to run for voters and he
was taken off by our men
because he had no caffure, [chauffeur],
licence, [license], and was going to take
young Kent off Billings Auto
for the same reason. Don't know
if they arrested them or not.
Were going to and could have done so.
Then Bert Parker said something
to Mr. W., [Herlock?], about
his wife standing in with the
liquor men and Mr. H. told him,
plainly, it was all a lie and hauled
off to to give him a blow and
someone held him back,
and they contested Ailers vote
because he lives out of the city on
a strip of Aunty land. So he
wants half to pay taxes.
