My dear {Hucl}?:

I've received your long looked for letters. Was glad to hear from you. But did not like to hear of you going to Texas. Edith, why are you going? Has some fellow stole your heart and are going to take you off to Texas where we will never get to see you? This is a beautiful, warm day so have been [having?] so much cold, bad weather. I have not cleaned any house yet. I have engaged a girl for all summer. She is coming next week. Come and see us and you will not half to work like you did last summer. I have not been very well all winter. I am all alone to day. Frank is away selling machinery. The boys are over at the other place, [putting?], in their oats. We had bad luck last week. Our good Jersey cow died. We have been looking for [Arebic?]. Have not heard from him. Edith, I have some of the loveliest, [Petunies?], out in bloom. I wish you could see them. Edie, please excuse Frank's business paper

Your Aunt E. Maggie

Edith, sometimes when Lucas is cumin to Palestine, send the bedspread along and leave it at Sheets [nyoues?].
