Atascadero 2-28-15

Dear ones at Arcadia:

I arrived here, right side up, with care, at 4'30 o'clock in the rain. It rained here most all day. It rained part of the way up here. It begain to rain just as the train left Santa B[]dra, [illegible, but probably mispelled Barbara]. It looks as if it was going to clear off. I hope so, for it makes to so gloomy and lonesome when it rains.

Well, the lumber has not come yet, so I guess it is a case of lay off for a few days. I wish I had of s[t]ayed there for a few days longer. I wish you would see Mr. Bertlenia and have him

2) send me a price list of those orange and lemon trees as soon as he can and ask him if he knows what it would cost to send about 50 trees and, maybe, more. I will try and find out about how many the people want and let you know.

Many thanks for the nice lunch I had enough left for supper to. I wish you didn't have so many chores to do. I'm afraid you will work yourself down sick. Will try and send you some money in a day or two, as soon as I get paid for last week.
