Dec. 10th 1913 Dear Lady. Mr L. Crodier wishes me to inform you of his affliction & inability to write you. The 24th of Aug he fell to the floor in a shock He rallied from the effects of that one & was so he walked about the yard & down to the P.O. Just a month from the first one he had a second one which left him paralysized over the entire right side. He is very slowly gaining and begins to walk a little with some one to support his right side. So he is in a way helpless, and yet he feeds himself with left hand after all being prepared for him. He is up every day but must be dressed & helped to undress. It is very hard for him to keep so quiet all day but he is very [in top margin:] patient but deserves much sympathy. He can not write for now. Hershel-H. B. Converse
