Dear Mrs Grandy and all:
Was certainly glad to get your card, I have thot of you folks many times and wondered how you liked your new home. Have wanted to come up one eve. We went up to Pasadena. Elgie took Lizzie, Zelpha, Orlyn and I up on Wed. and we stayed until Sun. Well, I went out to Tropico Fri. And he came out Sat. eve. and Sun. We went over to Pasadena for Lizzie. Came home through L.A. but we went up on Wed. eve. I wanted to stop and see you so much, but Elgie had to

come home yet that we and it was about four o clock when we left home so he thot it would make it so late, but we are coming some time. Onlyn grows fast he talke of Helen, Alice, and Gae so much talke to himself about them he would love to see them, and I certainly miss them guess they are growing, I still remember their flowers they used to bring me, one come at a time and each one a rose or two. I like Mrs Goodlaw very much she is a good neighbour (but I still think lots of my old neighbour) she has 3 children Lila aged 9 but I don't think as big as Helen, Cleta

aged 6 and Orlie aged 4, he is cute, he and Orlyn get in it sometimes, he doesnt seem near as old as he is he isnt any bigger than Orlyn + can't talk near as plain, he came to Knocked Mon morn + I went to the door and ^ kept his hand on his head and he says "Miss Cup see my hair tut," Mrs G. seems to like her new home very well, it is rather lonely for her as she has no way to get around no chickens, cow, nothing in the way of livestock so far. Mrs Palmer has company this wk (as usual) and expects

company next wk I think. She is feeling pretty good some days some days not so good, I told her I rec'd a card from you + gave her your message she said for me to remember her to you. Esta and Susie are home again and Grandma in with them. The foks are all real well Papa ^Esta Kristen, Callie, Ruth are going to Modesto, fo a wk, or 10 days start Friday, Mama had a very bad spell with her back since you moved but is better again, The girls Anna, Alma + Rachel are going to school. Sister Hettie moved about the 25 of Sept likes her new home she will be at

Modesto while the folks are there. I am awful glad, for we heard she is a little homesick, but she has never written a word about it. Easts have sold and are going to move tomorrow. An Eastern man & family have bought the place. Mrs. Ogden is still on the ranch. She + Zelpha are neither very well. She talks of moving to Whitten. Edgecombs are on their way East, Tukelsome have gone + Woodards are going today. Moors have moved on the Edgecomb place. So far, none of the others have sold or rented as far as I know.
