Independence Jan 15, [ 19, 1912 ?]

Dear Mrs. Grandy: I am a long time writing to you. I have been having the Lagripp and the cold is in my head and I am up and down all day and it is impossible for me to write, but I have so many letters to answer that I must commence and those litte girls sent me such a nice present, so I know that they haven't forgoten, [sic], me and how often do I think of you all and would like to see

you so much and I was glad to hear that you had not moove, [sic], so far away and will you go in the spring. We are having a hard winter, but I stay in the house all the time. Hattie is here and children and will return next month. She don't like Oregon, but she has had a fine time. Has your health been good and how is that dear hubby of yours and is Millie health good and all of those little girls are well. Well write me a long letter and don't say I have no time.
