Sunday, April 11, 1897
up 930 am. At Ch at 11 am and found too big a crowd to get chair so I had to stand during the services and until comm'n. service. Mamie played the organ and lost her book. Ch was out till 2 pm. Then to CH and Ellison and home at 300 PM and found Corrie at dinner. After dinner she and I went to the cemetery and were out there about 2 hours. Fire at Tex Litho hq after supper at 6 PM and then to CH and wrote no 97 and watched but no out. at MK & T train at 920 mailed it and then PO and CH and read till midnight

Up 9. am. Ch. at 945 am. 7 crowd 100 tres and 7 dance and I was writing nearly all day on 95 and to dinner at 130 and via bank and back to my office at 330 PM and again on no. 95 at 6 up town and hunted for dulces. but found none-- so made up pp 9 of Chils and expressed it at 7 PM and then back to my office and finished 95 18 pp and at 740 out to R. & I. and mailed it. Then to white Elephant Rest band talked till 930 at Chile with Judge CK Bell August and then to my office and worked until after midnight

Very Heavy rain after dark and cooler

Up 8 am office at 930 and busy making up my books for government accts all the morning To dinner at 130 - 230 pm and then down by my office - and to CH and at work till 330 when S N Pickens came and I went with him to Edelbrecks and took affidavits of Edelbreck and D Dreebus to P's bound for process ea. Then back to my office and finished no. 96 and in box 3" cHs at 730 and to supper 730 PM after getting dulces and pkg them for expressing tomorrow. Augusts and PO 930 my office at 10 and ran - very heavy rain 10 - 1130 and home and to bed 1 am

awoke at 7am and at office at 8 am and at office 915 and CH at 930 McNamara came to see me about sch later lot at office (recd 101 and 102) and at work on costs all the morning and to dinner 130 - 230 pm and back to my office and hard at work on costs - wrote Lednum to come over tomorrow afternoon. Geo Parker came in PM for a few moments. Wrote no. 97. after 5 PM and mailed it on R & I at 745 Then to Cafe and had chile con carne Then to Augusts till 930 and over to oo and checked Ross books until nearly 1 am and home and to bed

Thursday, April 15, 1897
Awoke at 7 am but did not get up until 8 am at o.o. at 915 and CH at 930 and at work on court matters Quigg came and I wrote letter for him To dinner at 120 - 230 PM. and found mice had eaten a hole in my coat of my nice every day coat of suit of clothes. Back to office at 3 PM and shortly afterward Lednam came and staid with me looking over accts until after 545 PM and then I finished No 98 and mailed it at 740 on R.& I. train and then to cafe. and had Chili con carne for supper. Augusts at 845 - 10 PM and o.o. on Ross books till 1215 .
