Mr. Sam Davidson,
Commissioner Sts. & Pub. Grounds,
Fort Worth, Texas.

Dear Sir:-

The M.K.&T. Ry. Co., have complained of the exces-
sive charges charged them by the Fort Worth Light & Power
Co., for maintaining lights at public street crossings in this
city. They have requested me to take up the question with
the city with a view of having these charges reduced to a
reasonable basis. This company is paying at a rate of $56.00 $156.00
per annum, for such lights. As these lights are furnished in
behalf of the city, and are for the benefit of the public,
I would respectfully represent that if the city has any
contract or agreement with the Ft. Worth Light & Power Co.,
by which these charges are fixed for public street lights,
these lights should come under such an agreement, and be
furnished at the same price as lights are furnished to the
city.

Will you kindly advise me if the city has a
schedule price with the above company, covering cost of
street lights, and at what price such lights are furnished
the city, and I would like to have you further, advise me
if you do not consider that the street lights furnished by
this company on orders issued by the city commission, should
not be furnished at the same price.

An early reply will be appreciated.

Yours truly,

A. H. Montague
Freight Agent.
