To the Hon. Mayor and City Council of Fort Worth:
Gentlemen:-We, the undersigned citizens of Trarrant County, respectfully petition you to erect a suitable market house, and enact proper ordinances to regulate same within the city limits of Fort Worth, believing that it can be made self-sustaining and that it will prove a great saving to the producers and consumers, and insure the consumers fresh vegetables, fruits, etc.

To the Hon. Mayor and City Council of Fort Worth:---
We, your committee, to whom was referred a proposition of the Fort Worth Market Company, which is hereto attached and is self explanitory, beg leave to report that in our opinion the proposition of said Market Company be accepted and that the City Attorney be instructed to draw proper ordinances as indicated in said proposition of said Fort Worth Market Company and that may be necessary to carry out and make effective such proposition for the establishment of a Market House in the city of Fort Worth.
We further recommend that the mayor and Public Grounds Committee be, and they are hereby instructed to purchase additional grounds for the purpose of establishing such Market House and adjacent to the grounds now owned by said Market House Company in order that the proposition of said Market House Company may be fully carried out in all respects.

Gentlemen:-
The Fort Worth Market Company, a corporation, begs to state that it is ready and willing to carry into effect the original proposition made by it and accepted by the City, as shown by the records of the City Secretary; or, if the Council feels that it is not ready or willing at this time to carry out its part of the agreement as heretofore made, then the Market House Company, thru its officers and board of directors, makes this additional or supplemental offer:
If the City of Ft. Worth will, first, purchase sufficient ground, approximately 125 by 250 feet, adjoining the property now owned by the Market House Company, on the corner of Belknap and Houston Streets, in Fort Worth Texas, and make it a free public sqaure:
Second, pass suitable ordinance prohibiting, within the City Limits, the peddling and delivering of vegetables, fruits meat, fish and other perishable products on the Streets of Ft. Worth Texas, from 12 Midnight, until 10 A. M. each day, but giving the right to anyone who has or may establish a regular place of business to sell,

from said place of busi such, products between the hours of 12 Midnight and 10 A.M., provided, however, same have been inspected, but after 10 A. M. until 12 Midnight, all persons may have the right to sell and deliver on the Streets of Fort Worth, Texas, within the city limits, any and all of such products provided, however, same has been properly inspected.
Third, pass an ordinance requiring the payment from persons in vehicles using utilizing space around the Market House for the purpose of selling products from wagons or otherwise, all of the said payments to go to the City of Fort Worth Texas.
Fourth, appoint a competent inspector whose duties it shall be to inspect all such products before being sold and issue a certificate on same expiring at Midnight on the same day. Inspector to be paid by the City of Fort Worth.
Fifth, pave the street on the north, south and east of said square:
Sixth, exempt from taxes for a period of five years the property of the Market House Company and the market house, if any, hereafter constructed upon it by the Company, then and in
