To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of Ft. Worth, Texas.
We the undersigned citizens of the Fourth Ward, living and owning
property in the Edwards heirs addition to the City of Ft. Worth
Do most earnestly petition your Honorably body to open the thirty foot street
in the said Edwards heirs addition from where it intersects the Granbury road
on the East to the Frisco right of way on the West
The said thirty foot street adjoins blocks number 25, 26, 27, and 30 on the North
We own property adjoiing this street and are unable to sue it to any advantage
on account of said street not being open, if said street can be opened it will not
only be a great convenience to us but will be a source of revenue to the City
as it will enable us to make more extensive improvements
The said street was dedicated to the City of Ft. Worth on the 15th., day of May
1889 by the Edwards heirs and recorded in book 63 page 1 Tarrant County Records
of Deeds FOR PLATS
There is a low placed upon the statutes of Texas in the year 1889 which says that
limitation does not run against a street dedicated to a city.
Now in as much as the City has full jurisdiction in the matter and the street to
be opened is almost level with no rocks to encounter nor culverts to be made
We humbly ask that our petition be granted.
Signed
