JOHN B. HAWLEY, CONSULTING ENGINEER, MEMBER AMERICAN SOCIETY CIVIL ENGINEERS, MEMBER ENGINEERING ASSOCIATION OF THE SOUTH, MEMBER TEXAS ASSOCIATION CIVIL ENGINEERS.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS, March 19, 1906. 1905

Hon. The Mayor and City Council, Ft. Worth, Texas.

Gentlemen:

We, your committee on Streets and Alleys, and City Engineer, to whom were referred the matters of opening Burford St., Bois D' Arc St. &c., have the honor to report:

That after investigation we have decided that all of these street opening proceedings should be indefinitely postponed on account of expenses necessarily involved.

In the case of Bois D'Arc St. alone, the sum of $2200.00 is the very least for which the necessary land alone can be secured, and several of the other street openings will also be quite expensive.

After due consideration of our financial condition, we have deemed it for the best interest of the City to postpone as above recommended.

Respectfully,

B. L. Waggoman Jake F. Zurn W. H. Ward Committee.

John B. Hawley City Engineer.
