Gentlemen:-

I beg to advise that we filled the Mead Reservoir (No.I.)
to within 7 feet of the top, being sixteen feet in it, and shut it
off in twenty four hours, and the leakage through the cracked
bottom amounted to a fraction over 34.000 gallons in twenty four
hours. The clear fork and west fork were both up at the time which
will reduce the amount of leakage that would occur had the river
been low and less pressure on the bottom from the gravel bed of the
river.
