Gentlemen:-

Below please find Estimate No. 2, of work done and material furnished by Lewis & Kitchen, under their contract for heating apparatus in VAn Zandt and De Zavala Schools:

Less 20 per cent retained 1892.60

Previous payments 5920.00
Balance due 1650.40
This work is practically done, and I recommend its acceptance, subject to thermostats being properly adjusted between this date and date of full payment, which is 60 days hence,

Whereas municipal government under a commission has proven an undoubted success in the several cities of Texas Where same has been tried.

Resolved that we the city council of the city of Fort Worth hereby earnestly request our representatives in the next legislature to secure such an amendment to our city charter as will place this city under a commission instead of under a Board of Alderman
