To The Hon. Mayor & City Council :

Gentlemen:

The undersigned owners of block Eight one(81) in the city of Fort Worth respectfully petition your honorable body to grant us the privilege of closing the ten foot alley which now crosses the block from East to West and of opening an Eight foot Alley through the center of said block from North to South.

Our reason for desiring this change is that the alley may pass in the rear of our premises giving access to all buildings. The alley as it now exists is extremely inconvenient and does not answer the purpose for which it was intended. It appears from the records that the present alley was deeded to the public about twenty five years ago by the respective owners of the block, at that time. In the event of favorable action on this peition, we the petitioners desire to execute deed to the City transfering the proposed alley. In lieu of which we respectfully petition that the city deed back to us the present alley. Each petitioner to receive the number of feet tat were originally deeded to the public from their respective property.

Dear Mr. Newby:

I would like to call your attention to the drain across Cannon Avenue between Clarence and Travis, I believe it is, at any rate the next street to the east. It is a regular creek in wet weather, and a loblolly nearly all the time. If you could have two or three planks thrown across it, it would greatly accommodate pedestrians. As the matter stands now, it is the only way of reaching the City Belt car line on the east for all residents of the university neighborhood.

Very truly yours, Clarence Ousley
