No. 6810 GEO W. ARMSTRONG, Pres. D. H. BOWEN, Cashier First National BAnk of Sour Lake, Texas. PAID UP CAPITAL $60,000.00 SOUR LAKE, TEXAS.
Fort Worth, Texas, March 1"/1905.
To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of Fort Worth:
Gentlemen:-
The rendition of the property described in the enclosed statement is excessive for the year 1902. This is a vacant lot, and was vacant at that time, and was then worth about what is was rendered rented for in 1904, to-wit, $325.00, whereas the rendition is $1750.00. It was evidently assessed on the basis of being improved. I respectfully ask you to reduce the assessment to $325.00.
Yours respectfully, Geo. W. Armstrong
