To the Honorable Mayor & City Council,
Fort Worth, Texas.
Gentlemen:-
The undersigned, who were friends and admirers of the
late Colonel John Peter Smith, in his life time propose the erec-
tion of a monument to commemorate his virtues as a man,his public
spirit as a citizen and to perpetuate his memory.
They respectfully request permission of the City to erect said
monument on the Triangle bounded by Jennings Avenue, Throckmorton St.,
and Jackson St.
