To The Honorable City Council of the City of Fort Worth Tarrant County
Texas.

Gentlemen:-

Your Petitioner C.C. Hays, would most respectfully represent.
That petitioner is a resident city of said state and county and owns the
following described property to wit 6 acres of Land "S" of the J.B.
Mc Dermott survey in Tarrant County Texas.

That 2 & 1/2 acres of said 6 acres above mentioned is situated
in the city limits of the city of Fort Worth Tarrant County Texas and is
subject to municipal taxe but that the remainder of said property so
owned by said C. C. Hays is outside the city limits of Fort Worth.
That in the years as follows the following number of acres were assessed
for taxes and said taxes paid under protest by said C.C. Hayes to wit:-

1902 South 4 1/2 acres of Land "S' of the J.B. Mc Dermott survey value
at 945 amount of taxes collected $16.54

1903 South 4 & 1/2 acres of land "S" of the J.B. Mc Dermott
survey, valued at $900.00, amount of taxes collected $15.75

$32.29

Petitioner would further represent that there is really in fact
and in truth only 2 & 1/2 acres of said property in the city
limits of the city of Fort Worth and that outside of said 2 & 1/2 acres
the balance of said property is not subject to taxation ( that is municipal
taxation) That the city of Fort Worth has by mistake of fact and law
collected from petitioner taxes upon property not subject to taxation
the sum of $14.55 or rather petitioners is entitled to be refunded 4/9
of said amount of taxes so collected from him for said years of 1902 and
1903.

Wherefore premises considered petitioners prays that your honors
inquire into the merits of this application, summon the City Tax Collector
and such other witness as you may deem necessary set the matter down for
a hearing and that hearing hereof he have a warrant drawn for the
said amount of taxes so overpaid and for such a further relief as
to the council may seem just and equitable to the premises.
