To the Honorable Mayor and City Council of Fort Worth Texas

Gentlemen:-

You are respectfully requested to examine the facts of this petitionthe East 3/4 Lot 14 of Block 136 City is a small piece of land in Vshapy just south of Old Query Plow Works lying next to the Rail road track and is about as much as one half lot. Said lot has always been assessed to petitioner for $100.00 up to 1901, except for the years 1898 and 1899. For 1898 the lot was assessed for $1000.00 and 1899 it was assssed for $1500.00. Taxes have all been paid on said lot except for the two years above mentioned, and the undersigned respectfully ask that you allow the mistake to be erected so that taxes may be paid on said lot for the years 1898 & 1899 under a just assessment of $100.00 same as all other years.

Respectfully returned to the Honorable Finance Comof the City Council, Ft. Worth

The taxes on the within mentioned piece of property for the year 1898 has been found to be a double assessment and have been cancelled by the Tax Collector.

As the property has been assessed at an average valuation of $250. for the last 4 years. I respectfully recommend that it be reduced to that valuation for the year 1899.

To the Hon. Mayor and City Council of the City of Fort Worth Texas.

We the under signed citizens and property owners, on and along Rosedale Street, situated between Colledge Avenue and Jennings Avenue Hemphill Str in said City, hereby agree to pay,respectively, one third the cost of grading and graveling said street, lying in front of and adjoining our respective properties, fronting on said Rosedale Street. That is, to say, each owner will pay one third of said cost of said street improvement immediately in front of his or her own property fronting on said Rosedale Street, from Colledge Avenue to Jennings AvenueHemphill, condition that said City of Fort Worth will pay for the other one third of said grading and graveling of said street in front of all of said property, and will pay for the grading and graveling of all intersecting streets crossing said Rosedale Street from Jennings Avenue Hemphill Street to Colledge Avenue. Said Street to be graded and graveled to a width of not less than thirty feet along the center of said street. The grade and drainage of said Rosedale Street, and said intersecting streets to be made so as to drain on all rain water that may fall or congregate there on, to the best advantage so as to protect the property owners and the said graded and graveled street, and also side walks that are now, or may hereafter be constructed there on. Said gravel to be put on to a depth of not less than eight inches in the center of said street and gradually decrease in thickness so as to be of a depth of not less than four inches at the curbline on each side of said street. Said gravel to be of the best cement gravel and as free from dirt and other foreign substance as the same can be reasonably had. The amount of money subscribed by each party hereto is to be paid on or before the completion of said work. Said work to be done under the supervision of the city engineer of the city of Fort Worth. Said work to be started and pushed to a completion within a reasonable time from this date, the beginning not to later than the day of July I904. it is further agreed by the said City that each property owner may at his own expense place his side walks next and long the edge of said graded and graveled part of said street, the same when constructed to be put down with due regard to the grade of said improved part of said Rosedale Street
