To the City Council of Ft. Worth:

Your Petitioners, George and Hester Ricks, represents unto your
honorable body that their parents died many years ago leaving to your
petitioners, who were ignorant minor children, the middle 50 feet of Lot
16, and the South half of the middle 50 feet of lot 15, Block 90, in the
City of Fort Worth.

That said property was than, and is now, of the reasonable
value of $100.00 and has never at any time in the history of Fort Worth
exceeded said amount in value; that your petitioners being minors have
never until since they become of age been qualified to look after said
property and that taxes has accumulated against eh same since 1890 amount-
ing, according to the collector's books, to $99.14; that said property
has been valued all the way from (250.00 to $650.00 as will be seen by
the Collector's statement hereto attached.

Your petitioners pray that the valuation of said property be re-
duced to $100.00 and reassessed for said years without the addition of
costs, and your petitioners stand ready to pay the same. They represent
that it will be impossible for them under the most favorable circumstance
and terms to realize more than $125 out of the property, and that the
county, Texas accumulated to date are $88.97, and that unless your peti-
tioners can secure a reduction of the valuation of said property to a
proper limit it will be impossible for them to redeem the same.

All of which is respectfully submitted.

Wm. R. Booth

Attorney for Petitioners.
