JOHN B. HAWLEY,
CONSULTING ENGINEER,
MEMBER AMERICAN SOCIETY CIVIL ENGINEERS.
MEMBER ENGINEERING ASSOCIATION OF THE SOUTH.
CITY ENGINEER, FORT WORTH.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS April 15th 1904.

Hon. The Mayor and City Council,
City.

Gentlemen:

In the matter of attached resolution of Ald. Newby, I
have the honor to report:

That a proper culvert can be built of masonry and steel for
about $250.00, and a proper brick gutter, with easy curve, for a-
bout $220.00.

Property owners are very desirous of a culvert instead of gut-
ter, in which opinion I concur.

Respectfully,
John B. Hawley
City Engineer.
