We the undersigned citizens of Said City take Pleasure in Recommending J.R Cumming to your Honorable Body as a Deserving Young man & ask & Pray that you appoint him Sexton of the old cemetery at your next meeting as Said Cemetry is in a Neglected Condition & we are Satisfied that the Said J. R. Cummings Will faithfully discharge the Duties thereof
