J.J. NUNNALLY, CITY AUDITOR, FORT WORTH.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS, Oct. 29 1902

The state of Texas County of Tarrant Know all men by these presents, that I, E.S. Evans of the Country of Tarrant and State of Texas for and in consderation of the sum of $120 one hundred and twenty dollars to me in hand paid by the City of Fort Worth, the recipt of which is hereby acknowledged, have bargained and sold to the said City of Fort Worth one gray horse 8 years old about 16 hands high weight about 1300 pounds, and I hereby warrent and will forever defend the title to said horse.

The State of Texas} County of Tarrant} Know all men by these presents That I, J.L. Ray of Reno Parker County Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and thirty dollars ($130.00) to me in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain & sell to The City of Fort Worth One gray horse about 16 1/2 hands high eight years old weight about 1360 pounts and I hereby warrant and will forever defend the title to said horse agasint all claimants whatever.

The State of Texas} County of Tarrant } Before me J.J. Nunnally, a Notary Public in and for said county and state on this day personally appeared J.L. Ray known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed t. the foregoing instrutment and acknowledged to me that he signed the same for the purpose and considerations therein expressed.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS Nov. 7th 1902

Hon. The Mayor and City Council, City.

Gentlemen:

I respectfully recommend that the roof of the 9th St. Colored School be given a coat of Mineral Paint, and that the City Engineer be instructed to have the work done at once, as it is badly needed.
