The State of Texas}
County of Tarrant} Know all men by these
presents That I, J.L. Ray of Reno Parker
County Texas, for and in consideration
of the sum of one hundred and thirty
dollars ($130.00) to me in hand paid
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
have this day bargained and sold
and by these presents do bargain & sell
to The City of Fort Worth One gray
horse about 16 1/2 hands high eight years
old weight about 1360 pounts
and I hereby warrant and will forever
defend the title to said horse agasint
all claimants whatever.

said county and state on this day personally appeared
J.L. Ray known to me to be the person whose name is
subscribed t. the foregoing instrutment and acknowledged

considerations therein expressed.
