OFFICE OF
FORT WORTH
CITY WATER WORKS.
A. W. SCOBLE, Superintendent.
H. L. CALHOUN, Secretary.

FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 5th, 02.

Jno.B.Hawley.Esq.
City Engineer.
City.

Dear Sir;-

The sewer situated in the alley in the rear of the Thompson-
Saunders building, cor. Ninth and Houston streets, is in need of atten-
tion. This department is called on every few days to open the said
sewer, which is not only annoying to the occupants of the building, but
quite expensive to the city. It should be relaid with a large size
line, and if possible, at once.

Very respectfully yours.
A. W. Scoble
Superintendent.

Hon. The Mayor and City Council.

Gentlemen:

The above statement of the Supt W. W., in regard to sewer in
rear of Thompson- Saunders Building, seems to me to be entirely correct.
I therefore recommend that the Sewer be replaced with 8 inch pipe, at
once, under the joint direction of the Water Works, and Engineering Depts.

Respectfully,
John B. Hawley -
City Engineer.
