Resolved that all Railroads or street crossings between Terry and Jones on 17 Street, and on Front Street and on 9th Street between Harding and Jones streets. be requested to fill in between the rails and for a suitable distance on each side with plank or vitrified brick in order to make said crossings safe and endurable- And that they be further requested to take especial care of the switches at above crossings.

To The Honorable And City Council:
For the purpose of better advertising my business, and, at the same time do it in a manner that, to my mind, would undoubtedly be a benefit to the city.
I propose to donate to the city of Ft Worth one hundred 25 gallon trash cans, made in a neat and workmanlike manner, with cover and hole in same, approximately seven inches in diameter, so that passers by can throw refuse in without raising cover. The cans will be painted "Donated to the city by Wm. M. McVeigh," stating below this, the nature of my business. The cans to be the property of the city as long as they last; I , to have the privilege of repainting at such times as necessary. or [?]
The city to protect them as far as possible from defacement, and the ordinance enforced relative to throwing refuse on the sidewalk, or in the gutters.
