PROPOSAL FOR CONSTRUCTION OF TWO ADDITIONAL ROOMS
ON THE THIRD WARD SCHOOL.

To the Honorable Mayor and City Council,
Fort Worth, Texas.

Gentlemen:-

In response to your Notice to Contractors, dated September July
24th, 1902, a copy of which is hereto attached, and made a part hereof,
the undersigned hereby propose to furnish all the material and labor
necessary to the complete construction of two additional rooms on the
Third Ward School, in the City of Fort Worth, Texas, strictly in accor-
dance with the plans and specifications for the said work, on file, in
the office of John B. Hawley, City Engineer for the lump sum of 1940.00
Dollars.

The undersign hereby agree, in case this proposal is accepted,
to furnish the required bond, with good and sufficient sureties, to be
approved by the Mayor of Fort Worth, and to enter into contract with the
City of Fort Worth within three (3) days after notice of such acceptance,
and to fully complete the entire work within Forty days after signing
said contract.

In the event of the refusal or neglect of the undersigned to
furnish the required bond-with said sureties-, and to enter into
contract as above stipulated, then the said City shall have the right
to retain and to convert the avails of the certified check, herewith
submitted, to and for the sole use and benefit of the City, as liquidated
damages for said refusal or neglect.

And I further declare that I have carefully examined
the specifications and plans for the work, and the form of contract and
bond for same, and also the premises upon which the work is done to be
done, and that by personal examination of said premises, and by other
means, have satisfied myself as to the nature of said work; and
will contract to perform all work and furnish all materials and labor
necessary and proper for the purpose, and to complete the work within
the time mentioned, and on the conditions mentioned, described
and set forth in this proposal and the said notice, form of contract,
plans and specifications.

And that I further declare that I fully
understand that all measurements that may necessarily be made during the
course of the work, are to be "net" and not "customary" or rule measure-
ments.
