Fort Worth, Texas, April 6th. 1900.

To the Hon. Mayor and the City Council of Ft Worth, Texas:

We your Committee on Streets and Alleys, to whom was referred the ordinance granting to Geo. T Bishop, of Cleveland Ohio and his associates and assigns the right to construct, operate and maintain a doublesingle track electric railway along and upon certain streets in the city of Ft Worth, Texas, respectfully recommend the passage of said ordinance x with the following amendments: First. &-Strike out all of section 1 of said ordinance and insert the following: x so amended as to read as follows

Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the city council of the city of Ft Worth that Geo.T.Bishop of Cleveland Ohio, and his associates and assigns are hereby granted the right to construct, operate and maintain an electric railway along and upon certain streets in in the city of Ft Worth to wit:

X Beginning at the intersection of Main and Sixth third streets, thence east on Sixth third street to Calhoun street, thence south on Calhoun street to Front street, thence east on Front street to Boaz street thence south on Boaz st. to Lilly St. thence east on Lilly st. to New York St. thence south on New York St. toWillie St. thence east on Willie st. x to the city limits of the city of Ft Worth, together with all the switches, loops and turnouts, and the right to erect all necessary poles and string all necessary wires on and over said streets; provided the right herein granted to construct and operate such electric railway on Front street from and south Boaz st to Calhoun St. is only intended to authorize said grantee to operate a street railway over and along one of the street railways now on said streets by laying a third rail eight and one half inches from one of the rails of the track already on said streets; and to use one of the rails of the railway now on said streets.

X And provided further that there shall be but one trach laid and constructed over and along Sixth street in said City.

Second.- Strike out all of Section 2 of said ordinace and insert the following: X

Sec. 2, The rights herein granted are upon the following conditions:--

1. Said grantee and his assigns shall fully and faithfully comply with all the provisions of the Charter and the ordinaces of the City of Fort Worth noe in existence, or which may hereafter be passed; they shall pave the street between the rails and for eighteen inches on each other side thereof of the same material as that of which the street is constructed, and shall at all times keep the street in repair. The top of the rails shall be laid and kept on a level with the surface of the street; the railway and construction and electrical equipment shall be in strict compliance with the ordinance now in force or which may hereafter be passed. The construction of said tracks and electrical epuipment shall be under the supervision of the City Engineer and the City Electrician and such committee or committees of the City Council as may be appointed to supervise the work. In event of any failure to comply with the ordinances governing the manner of constructing street railways, and for the installation of electrical equipment, the City Engineer shall cause all work to be suspended until the rules regulations, ordinances, and provisions of this charter are complied with. The said rails shall be bonded with a bond whose carrying capacity shall not be less than that of the rails and shall be kept in such condition. The poles shall be erected on the curb stone line and shall be not less than 25 feet high and placed not nearer than 12 feet of any fire hydrant of the City of Fort Worth.

2. Said rights are granted for the term of twenty five years from the date of the passage of this ordinance.

3. The said gra tee and his assigns shall promptly pay all assessments and taxes, general, special or otherwise, that may be lawfully assessed against them by the city of Fort Worth.

4. That no policeman, fireman, or City Engineer, or his assistant shall be charged for riding on said road while going to and from the discharge of his official duty.

5. The failure of said grantee or his assigns to comply with the provisions of this ordinance shall make and work an immediate forfeiture of the rights herein granted.

6. Said grantee, his associates and assigns shall pay to the City of Fort Worth the sum of X$250.00X per year for the first ten years, and X$1000.00X per year for each and every year thereafter during the existence of this franchise. The first payment shall be made on the first day of January, 1901, and succeeding payments on the first day of January of each year thereafter.

The said grantee and his associates and assigns shall establish and maintain its general offices and headquarters, and shops in the City of Fort Worth for the full period of twenty five years.

7. Said Geo.T.Bishop for himself and his associates, shall within 30 days after the approval of this ordinance file with the City Secretary of the City of Fort Worth an acceptance of the provisions of this ordinance.

8. The said grantee or his assigns shall commence the construction of said electric railway within six months from the passage of this ordinance and shall complete the same within eighteen months therefrom.

Sec. 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its acceptance as aforesaid.

"An ordinance granting to Geo. T. Biship of Cleveland, Ohio, and his associates and assigns the right to construct, operate and maintain a double-track electric railway along and upon certain streets in the City of Fort Worth, Texas: "Sec. 1. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Fort Worth that Geo. T. Bishop of Cleveland, Ohio, and his associates and assigns, are hereby granted the right to construct,operate and maintain an electric railway along and upon certain streets in the city of Fort Worth, to wit: "Beginning in the middle of Calhoun Street at the intersection of Sixth and Calhoun Streets, thence west on Sixth Street to Main Street, thence North of Main Street to Fifth Street, thence East on Fifth Street to Calhoun Street, thence South on Calhoun Street to Front Street, thence East on Front Street to South Boaz Street, thence South on Boaz Street to Lilly Street, thence East on Lilly Street to New York Street, thence South on New York Street to Willie Street, thence East on Willie Street to the City Limits of the City of Fort Worth, together with all the switches, loops and turncuts, and the right to erect all necessary poles and string all neccessary wires on and over said streets; provided the right herein granted to construct and operate such railway on the portion of South Boaz Street where it crosses by the Texas & Pacific Viaduct; and on the portion of Front Street where it is crossed by the Viaduct and on Main Street, are intended to authorize said grantee to lay a third rail, eight and one half inches from one of the rails of one of the other tracks, and operate their said railway over the tracks, and to use one of the rails of one of the railways now on said streets. "Sec. 2. The rights herein granted are upon the follwing conditions:
