Specifications

Coverning the sprinkling of the streets of the City of Fort Worth, Texas.

I. All bids for the priviledges of sprinkling the different streets of
the City of Fort Worth, shall be accompanied by a certified check for
$100.00, the said amount to be forfeited to the Fort Worth City Water
Works, by the successful bidder in case he shall fail or refuse to sign
a contract with the Fort Worth City Water Works, as per his accepted
bid, within 10 days after notification that such bid is accepted.

2. Bids will be received as follows.

1. For Sprinkling Main and Houston Street, from Front and Weath-
erford, and around the Court House, alos Cross streets from 100 feet
west of Houston Street to 100 feet East of Main street, from Front to
Weatherford. The minimun rate for this territory will be $50.00 permonth
with no exceptions for rainy weather. The only exceptions to the pay-
ment of the above rate shall be when the contractor is shut off by the
Water Department from using water on account of scarcity of the same,
during which time a rebate will be allowed for the time water was not
used at the rate said contractor pays for the water.

2. All other streets or territories shall be let to the bidder
or bidders, who will pay the greatest per cent of the gross receipts
received from such territory. Contractors under this clause shall keep
a correct record of all parties paying sprinkling tax, the amount paid
the address, and shall deliver to the Secretary of the Water Department
a copy of said list on the first day of each month together with the
amount due said Water Department for the water used to sprinkle said
territory.

The contractor under this clause shall be sworn into office by
the Mayor and give a bond in the sum of $500.00 for the faithful exec-
ution of his contract, and shall be liable under any penal act covering
a City employee.

The contractor under this cluase shall not sprinkle any territory
free of charge except such as shall hereafter be mentioned, and a
violation of this clause shall be sufficient cause, and the Water Depart
ment shall have the right to declare the contract void.
