At a well attended meeting of this camp This day held in their Hall the following Preamble and Resolutions were unanimously adopted.
Whereas it has been reported to our look out Committee and by them to this camp that the office of Pound Keeper of the City of Fort Worth is now vacant, and our comrade R. Matkin desiring the appointment to said office (the same being non political) and believing him to be worthy and well qualified to fill the same it is therefore, resolved by this camp that we respectfully and earnestly ask and petition the Hon. City Council to appoint our comrade R. Matkin to the position of City Pound Keeper and we as a body hereby endorse him for the same - Resolved that the Adjutant present this resolution to the City Council. I hereby testify that the above and foregoing is a true copy of the Records of this Camp.
