To make good Incke {found good} Take three pintes of Raiyne water: three ounces of the heauieste Gales yow can gett bruse them to smale peeces and putt them into the water and so lett them stande ij dayes in the sonne then putt to itt two ounces of Romane vitriialle well collored and beaten smalle and mixe all well togeather withe a sticke of a figg tree and leave itt againe two dayes finallye putt to itt one ounce of gume Arabicke that is cleere and brighte and beaten to powder and one ounce of the pittes of pomgarnetts and boyle itt then in a potte or kettell withe a slowe fyer and straine ytt and keepe itt to youre use.
