is an approued antidote against all Contagious diseases as the plague
purples smale pax measles and the like for preuention where of 2 spoonefull
is to be mixed in an indifferent draught of beere and to be dranke in the
mornnig fasting butt to the infected giue 3 good spoonefull mixed
with 6 spoonefull of angellica or cardus water that it distilled cold only
of the hearbe and for want of thise water in cleere possett dranke
w ch by p uoking amoderate sweate will expell the malignity of the
mallady the patient must be keepe temperately [whence]: it is likewis
an experienced remedy in a uiolent [farsett?]and when the stomack is
oppressed with wynde cold fflegme or any sup fluity it is effectually
disgestiue and in these cases to bee dranke of it selfe when there is
occasion 3 good spoonefulls without any other mixtwre
Spirit of Clary
Is an excellent restoratiue in any kinde of weakenes, butt cheefely for
that of the back wich it much inableth it preserueth such as are incident
to consumptione [?] comforteth the hart health the ulcerated tongues and is
agreat strenthner of women after theire deliueance to be taken morning and
euening 2 good spoonefulle at atyme it may also be taken at meales the same
quanitity in a glase of sacke or Canary wine

Is an exceeding comfortable cordiall and rectefyeth the infirmities of the
stomacke strengthneth the retentiue facultie thereof stayeth uomiting
preuenteth the passion of the hart and cureth those that are troubled ther with it
comforteth the uitall spiritte preserueth the stomake and tongues from putr
putrefaccion expelleth winde helpeth disgesture and is an infallable remedy
against mallancholly to be taken 2 good spoonefulle at atym when ther
is cause

Is an excellent remedye for all deseases of the spleene and is now lese
effectual to prevent then expell the mallignity of any man or of contagion And
when it is taken ar an Antidote a spunfull and the partye to swear after it
but for the deseases of the Spleane two spunfulle att at time when theare
is occation
