A Meddcine for the toothache
if itt come of a reamme
Take the barke of a younge greene ashe and scape off
the utter syde till yow come to the greene of the barcke
then pare of likewise some of the innter white and parte
of the greene togeather. sliced in thinne slices then
drie the same by the fyer. vppon some gridirne or
other thinge so that itt bee nott blacke burnte: so
dried that ytte maye bee beaten to powder: when itt is this
when itt is thisXdried burne itt upon the harthe
to ashes and wett the ashes in ointment are putt in
a linnen clothe and wake thereof a littell balle
as bigg as a nutte and putt in a linnen clothe knitte
harde and laye itt to the hollowe place under the
eare on the side you feele payne and tt will
presentlie make an Issue and ease youre paine
putt youre ashes in the clothe harde tied before
yow wett itt in the vineger./ and use no medcine
to the Issue for itt will drie uppe of itt self.

For the tootheache
Take mouse eare sage vyall triacle baysalte iij or iiij cloues
of garlike bruse all these togeather and binde itt in
a clothe and lay itt to the goome. Probatum
