Brunswick Bread made at Malvern

4 lb of Flour 2 oz of Butter 1 oz of Sugar 1 teacup of Yeast 1 oz of Salt

Dissolve the butter with Sugar in Milk and mix it altogether. Let it stand in the warm to rise. Then make into and stand & rise 1/2 an hour. Bake in a moderately cool oven.

Very Excellent Wigs

particulary to tested Made at Malvern

4 lb of flour 7 oz of Butter rubbed in flour 8 oz of Sugar 1 Tea Cup of Yeast

Mixed with a quart of warm milk into a soft dough.

Let it stand & rise till hight then make it into oval shapes and lay them on tins & rise, bake them in a quick oven, when baked, brush them over with milk whilst put before the Oven.

Rub a small piece of butter in a little flour accoring to the quantity you are going to make; wet it with a little buttermilk add a small bit of Brown sugar with a little Carbonate of Soda . Bake them in a moderate overn.

Receipt of the Souffle

3 1/2 pints of milk 4 Table spoonfuls of ground Rice the rind off a Prune and Sugar 4 Eggs beat the yolks, and whip the whites first before the souffle is put into the Oven. A little Apricot Jam very much improves the Souffle.
