grinde each by himselfe saucing the madder of it as much as of
the rest and medle all together and make thereof pelletts as
bigg as a nutt and drinke a pellett at morning and another at
evening with what kinde of drinke you list and of this till
hee be whole and lay on the wound a could leafe alway and
nothing els.

Take redd cob seede and tanssey seede and hempe seed of each
a like quantitie and the roote of mader as much as of all the
rest and make pelletts at morning and evening and drinke
thereof untill it bee whole, this may bee made in August for
all the yeare after and in that forme drinke 7 nights before
midsomer for all the year after.

To know whether a man shall live or dye

Take motherwort and lay it under the patients head unknown
unto him if hee sleepe hee shall live or els not.

Take the patients urine and cast it upon a stinging greene
nettle, and if it appeareth greene the next morning hee
shall live, and if it appeareth white or changed hee shall [not]
