Take of fine aquacomposita a pinte and put it in a glasse, take
alsoe of Cynamon ℥ij ginger ℥j cloues ij penny worth and almost

glasse or close bottle bruised lett it stand in the sunne 9 or 10 dayes
and euery day shake it 3 or 4 times when you will haue youre

make it sweete then lett your wine with a spoonefull of
it in a glasse runne through a streiner in the warrs you may
do it with water
For a salt phlegme ./ and red face./
Take roche alume ℥ij brimstone ℥iij ʒij make them
into fine powder euery one by them selves and deuide each one
into two partes put the one halfe into a pinte of white
wine vinegar and the other halfe into a pinte of rosewatere
sett it in the sunne 20 dayes or more and euery day once shake
it together, when the patient goeth to bedd bath his face with
white vinegar warme by the space of a quarter of an hower
and so lett it remaine a while and then wash it away with warme water./
An oyntment for a sciatica or ache./
Take a pinte of oyle olive and halfe as much aquavite or aqua com=
posita, beate them well together and boyle them on the fire
in a faire bason a little while, and with the same oyntment
the fore must be annoynted./

Take a fatt dogge and put out all his bowills and lett him hange a
night that the blood may runne from him then put into him a quarte
of dew snailes that creepe in the dewe and these herbs following
bruised in a mortar sage, mallowes, waxe, balme, betony, red nettles
rosemary camomill, melilote maioram, savin Lavorell leaues
piony leaues, ambrose, costmary, of each Mss, saueing of Camomill
where of you shall take 2 great handfulls roste the dogge
thus stuffed and keepe the dripping for your use, it is an
esepetiall good medicine for all aches and if you please you may
put to that greace a good quantitie of Camomill bruised
mingle them together and lett them lie for 12 or 14 dayes
then boyle them all together till it waxe somewhatt
greene, and streine it, it will bee much better./

Take of hysope soe much as [] of stilled water a
