put thereto a pennyworth of masticke beaten to powder stirre it
together and make it hott, and then drinke it next your heart./
For a quartane ague
Take a penny pott of maluasie and as much vinegar and a good
quantitie of mustard longe pepper a pennyworth, boyle them
all together and drinke it as hott as you may, then goe to bed
and it shall driue you into a sweate and at 3 or 4 times drinking
it, it shall driue away the ague or alter the dayes thereof./
For all manner of poyson and invenoming./
Take goates milke and seeth it to a third parte and drinke it
three dayes./

Take forshone anf avence or averme stampe them and temper
them with ould wine, and giue the sicke to drinke and it shall
cast it out

Stampe lettuce and temper it with water and drinke it fasting

Drinke the red mint and a rament mingled together and hee shall
voyde it beneth or above, or els take garlicke with honey for it

Take a penny waight of yard cressen seeds and giue him to eate
and lett him drinke a good draught of red wine warme or water
3 dayes and if hee stanch hee may liue if not it is a signe of
death./

Take the iuyce of gould wort the iuyce of an onyon and as much
honey as of the iuyce of it heate them together and put it in the
eye it will helpe both man and beast./
For the pearle or webbe in the eye./
Roste eggs hard that nothing runne out then cleane them in
the middle and take out the yelkes put therein the powder
of alume glasse then lay them together againe and put them
to the fire till the alume be molten in them put the eggs
with the shells and all in a faire cloth, and bruise it togethere
well in your hand and wringe it through the cloth then take
a faire whet stone and rub white ginger thereon alwaies
wetting the ginger therein and rub it soe that it may runne
of the stone into the water then drop a little drope in his
eye that is sore lett him lye soe and rest therewith and sleepe
doe soe euery morneing thrice till it bee whole, for it will
breake the pearle or will prime and make him see well.//.

Take pimpernell and stampe it and put to the iuyce thereof
the marrowe of a goose winge and drop it in the eye./

Take agrimony and stampe it and mingle therewith horse
grece the mosse of a hathorne and red wine throughly, lay
this on the sore and it shall come out./

Take coperasse or verdigreace vnflecked lyme blacke peper
