An Eie Selve very good

{probatem} Tak selenden Groung Ive tops of Rosemary
young parcle & Maidenhair of each of these
one handful & boyl them in a bout a quart
of cream til it come to an oyl upon a slow
fire scum of the oyl as it rises & put it
into a gellepot & when it tis cold cover it
close for your use. make it in May
if the Eie be tender weak or & sore put a
lettle of it into the Eie when you go to bed but
if their be any skin or speck in the Eie then
Take a lettle Alum unburnt & white sugar
candy beat them severly very fine & mix
{in Equal quantity} with a lettle of the oyntment & put it into the
Eie keeping your Eie open til it hath run
over it tis best to doe it when you go
to bed

An Eie Water very Precious

Take a quarter of a pint of Red Rose
Water one spoonful of Honny a peniworth of of powder of Tutty
a peniworth of White sugar candy powderd
Grind all theses togather in a silver poringer
with a selver spoon for 3 or 4 houer then
aply it to the Eys by droping it in several
times in a day 3 or 4 times in a day
